Peng Chau Island

Cafés and Restaurants

Peng Chau itself is a small island, and true to it’s own style, most restaurants and cafés are considerably small in size. Most restaurants and cafés are located on the "promenade" of the island, by the seaside, or located within a short walking distance from the pier.

Peng Chau One

This small Western restaurant is only open from 6pm to 11:30pm on Tuesday thru Friday, and open from 11am to 11:30am on Weekends and public holidays. The dish that most customers recommend is the homemade pizza. Located right behind the Peng Chau Sports Center. Website:

Pasture Deserts Restaurant (青草地 Qing Chou Dei)

A small café/restaurant that serves local food/appetizers/drinks such as the homemade ginger sugarcane soya-milk, curry fish-balls and assorted noodles. Located on the right side right next to Wellcome.

快车 (Fai Ceah [Rough Translation: Fast Car])

Although hidden in the midst of the alleyways, the local chinese dishes that the restaurant serves are truly tasty and spectacular. Alas, due to the small size of the restaurant, the number of tables and seats are limited. If you have some trouble looking for the restaurant, feel free to ask the locals, I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to show you the way. It is located a few minutes walk to the right alleyway of the Tin Hou Temple.

海景海鲜酒家 (Hoi Ging Hoi Xin Jao Ga)

A traditional Chinese restaurant that serves local dishes and traditional Chinese dishes. Again, it is recommended to large groups of people. It is located right next to the Peng Chau Police Station and Peng Chau Post Office.

好运酒楼 (Ho Wun Jao Lao)

A medium sized restaurant that serves, yet again, local dishes and traditional Chinese dishes. Recommended for large groups of people. Located on the left side of Wellcome.

Les Copains D’Abord

A small little boutique-like café 3 minutes walk away from the pier. It serves wines and other drinks. Located right behind the Peng Chau Sports Center.

Most clubs are small, like most restaurants, and they are located on the south-west side of the island, near the seaside. Those clubs, however, are not the ones you may expect in Lan Kwai Fong. Do note that those clubs are meant to serve as a friendly little enviroment for locals and visitors to chill and relax, and not for hardcore partiers. And obviously, you must be 18 or above to buy any alcoholic drinks.

Sea Breeze Club

A nice little club near the pier, where you can literally feel the cool sea breeze blowing across the road at night. Located on the south-west side of the island, by the sea side.

Tino Club

A friendly little club that serves as a get away place for locals and visitors. To recieve more information about the club and the fun events it hosts, please checkout "Tino Club Peng Chau" on Facebook. Located on the south-west side of the island, by the sea side. Website:
